View Stock Details

<Main Menu> <Product Maintenance> <View Stock Details>

This option allows the viewing of stock details by using either the product code or product description. Click the View Product Details button on the Product Maintenance Screen to display view product details screen.

Scan or type the barcode from the product (if manually entering the code ensure to press return after) into the Product Code field. Once the code is entered the systems performs a check of the current stock. An error message will be generated if the stock details are not on the system; you will be prompted to re enter a different code. If found the details for that product will then be displayed.

If the product code is not known, then press F10 to start the advanced search by description facility.

Note - This facility is only available through the view product screen.

Enter the search criteria (product description) into the search field and press return. If part of the description is known then you can fine-tune a search by using wildcards and entering * before and after your entry.

For Example

Any string of characters * finds "trousers" and "person".

The system performs a check of the current stock and returns a list of all product descriptions that match the search criteria. If more than 13 items are returned then you will need to scroll through the list using the scroll bar on the right side of the screen.

When the product is found select the relevant Product Code field. This may be done by either double clicking in the product code field, or by using the scroll down key on the keyboard and pressing F10 once the required product code has been selected. The system will then return back to the View Products screen. You will notice that the screen now shows the full details pertaining to the selected product.

Reset/Cancel search

To reset the search criteria click back into the Search field and press F8 on the keyboard. Enter the new search criteria as required or press the Esc key to cancel and return back to the View Product Details screen.

Do Not forget to use * before and after your entry in the Search field.
