<Main Menu> <Daily Activities> <Barcode Production>

The Print Barcode screen is used to allow the production and printing of in house barcodes for items already held on the system. This screen is best navigated using your PC mouse.

Note - This option should be used with A4 sheet size paper containing 21 white printer labels per sheet.

Produce a new label

To produce a new barcode label, firstly click the Add New Label button. You will notice that a new line is generated and the cursor is positioned in the Product Code field. The required code may be selected using a number of methods:

Once the required product is selected the system will automatically update the remaining fields for that item. The system then positions the cursor in the Print Qty field, enter the quantity of labels to be printed and press return to complete the entry.

Repeat this process to add further labels, the total number of labels to be printed will be displayed in the Label Total field. It is recommended that the total number of labels be printed in batches of 21 so to fully utilise each A4 sheet.

Print Labels

Having produced a list of required barcode labels the system will allow one of two print options – print label with price and print label without price. Select and click the required option button, the system will then prompt for a printer selection, select the required printer and click OK. Note – The system will generate an error message if the Label Total is at zero.

Clear Form

This option will clear the entire form ready for a new batch of label production. If you do not select this option then the system will hold all details of the last label production, this feature allows for the gradual inputting of label data over a period of time. The system will prompt with a message to confirm the Clear Form selection, click either Yes or No to complete or cancel the operation.

Delete Label

This option will delete the selected label entry details. Firstly select the required Product Code field with the mouse and click the Delete Label button. The system will prompt with a message to confirm the selection, click either Yes or No to complete or cancel the operation.
